Anita is a Poet, Author of two books, Scriptwriter, Director, and Social worker.
Her two books, “Meri Abhivyakti” and “Kuch Dil Ne Kaha” are a compilation of poems written over the years. With poetry, she intends to express her analysis of the world that surrounds us and tries to conceptualize the present happenings with abstract examples.
From a very young age, she found the society she grew up in, and its manifestation on individual growth an interesting facet, this interest culminated in, her pursuing, a Master’s degree in Sociology. She is a vivid traveler with a diploma in tourism and has traveled to various locations in India and abroad to understand various cultures and humankind. She continues her journey and currently exploring yogic science pursuing MA in Yoga.
She has written many scripts like “Nayi Padosi”, “Gram Panchayat”, “Chor Chorni”, “Kalyug Mein Prem” and “Radha Krishna” for Theatre performances. She wrote scripts for televised programs on Doordarshan like “Shiksha Mein Saksharta” and “Screen Shot”. It was this exposure of writing that led her into the direction, as well. She directed movies like “Real Heroine” which depicts the conception and idea behind Swatch Bharat Mission. She has also assisted in the direction of Short films like “Tina- an Indian Woman” and “Commando”.
She has won the Wordsmith Award 2019 and Bharat Nirman Award: Literary Excellence Award 2020
She is a member of Poetry Society Of India and Association of Writers and Illustrators for Children.
